Halloween 2014

Well, better late than never...

Here we are, another year, another princess.  Maeve was one of thousands of Elsa's wandering around the neighborhoods trick-or-treating.  No doubt, she enabled a few to take a drink due to the Elsa drinking games that were happening in various households that evening.  Ha.

First there was the school parade and party...

And, then the evening fun began...

Maeve was equally excited about wearing make-up that night for the first time, and eating massive amounts of candy.  This year Maeve was fully invested.  She ran from house to house, and sometimes she didn't bother coming back to the street -- she just cut across the lawn.  As always, I let her go to town and eat as much candy as she wanted on Halloween night, and I then packed it away and have been eating the rest ever since.  She never asked for it again, so our method works pretty well.  I'd rather just have one night of gluttony on her part, and then be done with it.

We were experiencing torrential downpours the week of Halloween, and even had a good storm that day.  Thankfully the rains stopped long enough for trick-or-treating....  Thank goodness.
