She Graduated....

...to the chairlift today!  Woot woot!  I'm not sure how much I've iterated how excited I am about this skiing thing.  You watch your kids learn new and exciting things all the time, but this new skill also allows me to get back on the mountain and have fun skiing again too.  Within a couple of years, we should be able to ski most things... at least that's the plan.  Its super fun doing this with her -- its fun hearing her scream "wheeeeeee" and sing "rolly polly up and rolly polly down" as we're skiing along.  She really loves it...

We were up with Amy, Brent, Bennett, and Clara, of course (our requisite ski buddies), and we were also joined by Sara, Rey, Maya (first day trying... yay!), Laurel, plus Rosanne, Brian, and Brennan.  Fun times on the hill...

Our first ride on the chairlift!  Super duper fun...

Everyone is still having fun... and we didn't even lose a kid off the chairlift.  Win-win.

Clara even tried skiing today too.  She totally ripped it...

We had our longest day so far -- we arrived at 10am and left at 3:30pm, with maybe an 1 1/2 hours of breaks all together.  I can guarantee you that Maeve has never, ever ever taxed herself this hard in one day before (seeing as her nickname is Lazy Bone Jones).  And, the thing is, although she was melting at the end, she was melting because I thought we should pack it in, and she wanted to keep going.  Go figure.  Maeve fell asleep before we even hit the freeway, and was still passed out for a while at home...  The poor body didn't know what hit it.

But, once she was awake and kicking again, she had to fancify right away...
