'Tis the Season...

Well, the holiday season has kicked off. Christmas is certainly way more fun when there's a little person to introduce its magic to. Now our home is decorated, the Christmas music is playing (between imperative playings of "Baby Beluga", that is), holiday baking has commenced, and we are participating in events around the city. Maeve has no idea what's going on, but is enjoying the fun nevertheless.

Maeve enjoyed her first carousel ride downtown (despite absence of smile -- it may be the death grip I have on her while I attempt a long arm photo)... she kept pointing at the "neigh neigh's" and wasn't very impressed when we had to get off the ride...

Then we met up with my long lost friend, Steph and her family and friends, who were in town for the weekend. We had a great seafood dinner down on the wharf...

Then we headed to the Wilson's and Maeve treated us to a song.

The Wilson's -- our second family.

Our tree -- clearly redecorated to be ornament top heavy because of a certain one and a half year old's affinity to taking ornaments off the tree

Off to Swanson's Nursery to check out the hap's there...

Some of Santa's Reindeers were resting there... (along with a camel and a donkey... apparently they are all friends?)

We had a play date with Mason -- this was as good of a photo that we could get. Ho Ho Ho...

Hi Shauna! You don't know me, but I'm good friends with Ashley Hamilton and peek in on your blog from time to time thru her link. I have loved seeing you and Maeve become such an adorable family! A friend of ours is just starting the adoption process and they too are adopting from Ethiopia. I was just wondering if you would mind me sharing your blog link with her so that she could read about your experience? You can reach me at hwilensky@sbcglobal.net or thru our blog at wilenskyfamily.blogspot.com. Have a great day!
