This is What Trouble Looks Like...

Yes... don't let this innocent looking face fool you, there is a lot of mischief embedded deep down...

Why is she trouble, you may ask? Let me give you a whiff of just the last hour and a half of our evening, and you can see how the little one was creating all sorts of havoc. First, there was the pooping in the tub incident (ughh... gross... once again.... scrub a dub dub of the tub. And, bath toy friends -- you know who you can blame for your bleach baths).... then there was the running around the house naked, shrieking with delight (and she probably peed somewhere that I haven't found yet)... then there was the racing to the toilet to 'wash' her little hands in the swirling water (we're in a little bit of a water fetish phase... and unfortunately the toilet is a big draw)... then there was the grabbing of the cetaphil cream and putting her hand in the lotion... then there was the racing back to the bathtub to try and splash more water around (bathtub had yet to be cleaned)... then there was the grabbing a bunch of diapers on a flyby to leave a trail behind her... then there was the unfolding of all laundry mom had just folded while mom is busy cleaning the tub... then there was mommy hanging small wiggly child upside down above the kitchen sink to use the handheld spray to rinse off the mega amounts of conditioner that had been left in troublemaker's hair...

Surprisingly, I was able to wrangle her into her chair and accomplish hair tonight. If I were a gambling person, I would've bet against this feat. Score one for mommy.

Great post Shauna. I'm visualizing the whole thing. Looks like you might have had your official hazing as Maeve enters "the toddler years." bwahahahahaha!

Sounds as if the circus has come to town. It's so much fun - as long as you don't try to "fix" it all at once! Kudos to you for all of your work to create order and cleanliness...but Maeve doesn't care about that, does she? Chaos, order, or fun - which does a toddler choose? xoxo

Okay, how do you do Maeve's hair at night?! As soon as Maddy sleeps on her pigtails, even for naptime, they fall out and get frizzy. You must have a secret! Love the 'do!
