Christmas Fun...

Happy Boxing Day everyone.... Christmas holidays are super fun... especially with kids in the mix. Taryn and Kate's excitement for Christmas morning to arrive was almost palpable the night before. It has been great being here for almost a week, prior to the big day, to give Maeve an opportunity to adjust. She has transitioned well over the last few days... so, everything is low key and really relaxing.

Check out Taryn and Kate's reaction to their stockings yesterday morning:

In case you didn't catch it, Taryn was a lucky recipient of a Nano iPod and Kate got a Nintendo DSI... Very exciting.

Maeve had the perfect sleep schedule yesterday. She got up long enough to check out her stocking... she was really happy with the toys that Santa brought her too... She went back to sleep for all the boring bits of the day and was up for all the important and fun parts. What a good baby! She is so easy going and happy. It makes it really fun.

Here is Maeve checking out her stocking and eating her new toys...

Kate and Taryn checking out the rest of their stockings.

Up from her morning nap and ready to hit her load of presents.. The rest of us enjoyed a great breakfast before embarking on the presents that were sitting underneath the tree. Maeve has decided that Christmas is a really good thing.

Taryn excited to open presents..

Kate ready to go at it too...

Christmas morning... getting ready to take turns seeing what each other received as gifts.

Todd and my Dad making sure that the new Wii games the girls received as gifts were working properly. It is hilarious to hear them laughing from the upstairs living room...

Maeve supervised the meal preparation -- here she is making sure the stuffing was being made perfectly...

Maeve received this sweet Christmas outfit from some very great friends... so, of course, this was her outfit for the rest of the day.

Maeve loves her Auntie Stacy...

A Christmas family photo...

Retro blogging -- Christmas Eve dinner. We have been eating a lot... I mean, a lot...

Skyping the Aussie cousins on Christmas Eve... Skype is so great. Taryn, Kate, and Maeve got to hear what Santa had brought Emma and Josh already... it just pumped up the level of excitement on this end.

Ending the night with Christmas stories.... Cookies, milk, and notes were left out for Santa. I guess it worked...

So, Maeve and I are enjoying this time with family... We are snowed in a little (well, not technically, but we do not like to be cold... so, its a self-inflicted house arrest). Again, I hope that everyone is having a nice holiday...

Congrats on your first Christmas home. It was our first, too. How fun they are!
