We're Home!!

Introducing..... Maeve Mahlet! We just got home this afternoon... I'm super tired, but I wanted to put up some photos so you could see the sweet thing. She is absolutely perfect. How did I get so lucky? Here she is:

Her hair is long enough that they had her in cornrows when I met her...

This is just after I got to hold her for the first time...

Someone has a love affair with her thumb...

Ethiopian, and proud of it...

Okay. More later....

WOW!! Congratulations! I brought my baby girl home from Guatemala when she was the same age, and in time for Christmas! Now she's all grown up - a teacher. You're gonna have so much fun, and will be surprised how many things will just choke you up that never did before, because now you're a mom. Lack of sleep was never an issue for me or my daughter, but no one ever told me how much energy it can take to get a little one to bed! Congrats again!

Oh Shauna!!! She is just gorgeous. As soon as I woke up this morning I thought of you as my brain realized you came home yesterday!!! I wish I could have been a fly on the wall when you first got to see her. I can't imagine how emotional and powerful that was.
Hope your first night at home went okay - jetlag & all!!! We can't wait to meet her....
